These political cartoons all are an accurate representation of what happens in the American Education System. The characters are all teachers, students, parents, or other figures that represent students. In the first cartoon, a student in kindergarten comes home to his parents who ask him how was school. He replies to his parents saying that he learned physics. This cartoon is trying to prove the point that there is way to much pressure on kids nowadays to achieve excellence. The child is literally 4 years old and he is learning things taught at a high school level, that a kindergarten student could never understand. The second cartoon depicts a whole bunch of animals of different abilities and features and the teacher is asking them to climb a tree. This mocks the standardized testing in which students who have different abilities, have to take the same test and is somehow considered "fair." The last cartoon depicts a student asking the teacher a question of interest-is Pluto a planet? She replies saying that it's not on the standardized test so they don't need to discuss it. The message of this cartoon is to show that what's taught in schools is not always helpful. Schools aren't interested in teaching anything other than what's curriculum based and in that sense, the cartoon is implying that students aren't allowed to discuss other issues that happen.
